The Fork-Alert System has many applications as a proximity sensor device in a vast array of industries such as Mining, Pharmaceutical, Food, Automotive, Government, Steel, Ports, Manufacturing, Logging and Sugar.
Fork-Alert primarily manages the interaction between mobile plant such as forklifts, cranes, cars, trucks, earth moving vehicles and pedestrians where logistics activities are performed. However Fork-Alert also competently performs as an:
- Low level security device
- Activation of automatic doors in warehouses
- Temporary traffic lights (can be solar powered)
- Prevent forklift masts from colliding with overhead structures
- Operate Gates
Fork-Alert uses Infrared Technology sweeping a coded signal from a transmitter (beacon) mounted on a Forklift. As the Forklift approaches a danger area where Receivers are strategically located the Transmitter will detect the Receivers signal and activate output devices such as an audible alarm, flashing light, LED picture light or magnetic gates.
The detection range can be configured to more or less field with extreme accuracy.
Fork-Alert identifies and alerts the pending risk of collision thus minimising injury to people and damages to assets.
